At EAA AirVenture 2026 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Air Command displayed its newest Gyroplane model, Integrity, to attendees, which includes a brand-new 100 HP Polaris RZR engine. The project has been in the works for seven years. Test flights begin in September 2026.
According to Air Command President Joe Covelli, "The refreshed and updated gyroplane design offers additional safety enhancements for frame durability, strength, and pilot comfort. All the fiberglass parts are a new design with a refreshed look, and the tail section is 30% larger than Air Command's legacy tail for better rudder authority, being a larger, heavier gyroplane."
The 100 HP Polaris engine brought curiosity and excitement from many air show attendees. "There's immediate trust in the Polaris brand for reliable engines, so showing a new crate engine on the gyroplane opens up all kinds of possibilities for another aircraft engine in light-sport." Features of the RZR engine include:

One requirement in the engine project was the use of a gearbox that could manage high RPMs. Covelli shared, "When Rotax discontinued the 582 engine and E gearbox a few years ago, we opted to stay with it because of its longevity and performance. Working with a metal testing lab as well as gear and vibration harmonics consultants, we re-engineered the inside of the gearbox to safely manage 100 HP at higher RPMs." The K-Box, as it's called by Air Command, is engineered as an easy drop-in for an existing E-Box, and the new replacement gears work above or below 100 HP. It also offers the option to install a starter motor. "Our goal is to offer parts and help existing E-Box owners and repair shops extend the life of these gearboxes."
