The rotortach is a rate indicator unit with included magnetic sensor that is customer mounted in close proximity to the rotorhead ring gear. RPM is measured by counting revolutions of the ring gear teeth. It comes with its own self-powered internal 3.6 VDC lithium battery that will operate continuously for at least five years. Display is LED with 0.6 inch (15.2mm) high digits. The unit is constructed of a lightweight, high impact plastic case with clear viewing window.
Unit Dimensions: 1.54 in. (39.1 mm) H x 2.95 in. (74.9 mm) W x 1.38 in. (35.1 mm) D. Minimum clearance (behind the panel) for mounting clip installation is 2.15 in. (54.6 mm) H x 3.0 in. (76.2 mm) W.
By default the unit is setup to count 108 ring gear teeth per revolution, which is standard on all Air Command rotorhead ring gear. The rotortach can easily be adjusted to accurately work with other ring gear assemblies.
